PIEP peripherals mount directly on top of the shield adapter, utilizing up to two of the four SPIP style headers (SPIP type headers arranged in mutually exclusive pairs). Likewise, the PIEP shield mounts directly to Arduino shield compatible processors (or peripherals). To interface with PIEP motherboards, the shield's JST 10mm headers can be used to route required resources to appropriate resources available on the PIEP motherboard (DPIP or SPIP headers via breakout boards provide motherboard interface points).
