This peripheral, mating to a motherboard SPIP type header, implements an SCI port that is presented to both the peripheral's top SPIP header and a JST 2mm interface connector. SCI signals (TX, RX, CTS and RTS) are mapped into the top SPIP header in accordance with standard SCI header pin assignments, permitting the header to accept any PIEP SCI compliant board. The board operates with either a 3.3V or 5V supply. SPI Chip Select control is set through one of three onboard jumpers (two of the three jumpers must be disabled before installation).
